It all started the way the best things do: over a cup of tea.
Sumit Chanda and Dr. Rajdip Dey are two bosom friends since childhood. For years, their weekend evenings followed a sacred ritual—sitting together, tea in hand, discussing life. But as the world around them shifted toward smarter technology and cleaner living, they noticed something stagnant.
“Why isn’t our chai getting any smarter?” they wondered.
They looked at the options. At home, making a proper cup was a messy, time-consuming chore that usually ended with a heavy dose of sugar. At the local tea stall, they saw tea leaves boiled for hours until they became bitter and acidic, loaded with sugar to mask the taste. They even tried instant premixes, but found them lacking the soul and aroma of a real brew, often packed with artificial additives.
Sumit and Rajdip spent years researching a better way. They didn’t want to just make tea; they wanted to evolve it.
The Breakthrough
After countless trials, they found the solution. By blending premium, hand-picked Assam tea with high-quality milk powder (free from added sugars and low in fat) and sealing it in imported, eco-friendly plant-based bags, they created India’s first Milk Tea Bag.
